TEFAF Maastricht 2026

14 March 2026 — 19 March 2026

Colnaghi is pleased to present its exhibition at TEFAF Maastricht 2026, bringing together a selection of works spanning antiquity and Old Master painting, alongside a small group of contemporary bronze works by the designer Clotilde Ancarani.

For more than three decades, Ancarani has developed a sculptural practice centred on the material possibilities of bronze, producing works that exist at the intersection of sculpture and functional design. Cast using the lost-wax process, many of her forms originate in close observation of botanical structures, which she translates into bronze through an emphasis on structure, surface, and internal frameworks.

On the stand, Ancarani’s sculptures will be presented among works from across the gallery’s historic fields of expertise, including an Attic black-figure oinochoe attributed to the Bizoumis Painter (c. 530–520 B.C.), a finely carved Roman marble head dating to the Antonine period, a rediscovered portrait by Jacopo Tintoretto painted c. 1549–50, and an early portrait by Diego Velázquez of the royal secretary Sebastián García de Huerta (c. 1628–29).
