Exhibition Past

Portrait of a Man, Henriette Vaillant (1875-1949), signed with initials, pastel on paper, 47 x 45 cm

Colnaghi Elliott is delighted to be participating once again in Master Drawings New York.

We will exhibit a selection of highlights from the 17th to the 20th centuries- including a highly important tapestry design by Jacob Jordaens- alongside a group of works on paper from the French Belle Époque. Amongst these are four lively sheets by Boldini, a quasi Symbolist portrait of the celebrated painter Juana Romani by Victor Prouvé and a beautiful pastel by Marthe Lalyre Levesques of her husband, the artist Adolphe Lalyre.

Complementing these, Colnaghi’s London exhibition, Sorolla: A Celebration of Life, will continue in New York. Hailing from private collections, the artworks included encompass many of Sorolla’s most recurrent themes, such as social realism, insightful portraiture and scenes en plein air, most notably sea studies.

We look forward to welcoming you.
